Removing Glass - Important Do’s and Don’ts for glass removal, with the most important consideration being safety.

1.  Do protect yourself with safety gloves and safety glasses when removing broken glass.

2.  Start at the top and remove small fragments of loose glass, working your way down to the bottom.

3.  Mark off the area under and around any large broken glass to prevent anyone from walking in the path of falling glass.

4.  Plan an escape route for yourself and anyone else when dealing with large pieces of broken glass that could possibly                              fall out of an opening.

5.  Don’t be afraid to drop the glass and run if the glass is falling out of an opening.

6.  Don’t try to catch falling glass – ever.

7.  Don’t remove glass from the bottom of a window when there is broken glass above.

8.  Don’t put your arm, head, or hands through a hole in a broken window during the removal process.

9.  Do call a professional for glass removal and replacement.
